We are a male voices a cappella quartet from Saratov, Russia. Most of us are Saratov State Conservatoire graduates, major in choral conducting or academic vocal.

The Ensemble’s repertoire comprises of Russian Orthodox liturgical settings and choral concertos as well as various Folk and Secular songs – such items as, inevitably, The Song of the Volga Boatmen, Moscow Nights and Kalinka.

The origin of the name “Nikolsky” comes from St. Nicholas Monastery male choir (in Russian [Nikolsky muzhskoy monastir]). They hire professional musicians to decorate the service. Most of us met while working there.

Since 2015 the Ensemble has done numerous tours to Estonia, England, Wales, Norway and Denmark. In small places and big cities as well, there is a warm response from the audience.
